It has been a question many people have asked since last year's accident thrust Tiger Woods into a sex scandal. What would his late father, Earl Woods, think about the golfer's infidelity?

Earl Jr., the oldest half-brother of the golf champ, says that his father would not approve of his son's behavior. "I think my dad would be very disappointed with him," says Earl Jr. in an interview with KSAZ Fox 10 in Phoenix. "He would probably want to know how he's going to fix it. You're grown enough to get into this mess; how are you going to repair it?"

The relationship between Elin Nordegren and her father-in-law was one of respect. "She was family," says Earl Jr. "My dad and her really connected."

Earl Jr. says that Tiger has paid a steep price for his dalliances. "It cost him a family," he says. "He'll never have the same relationship with his kids. There's always a possibility that [Elin] will go back to Sweden. That distance with the kids will tear him up."

"He got caught up in being human," continues Earl Jr. "He made mistakes, and unfortunately, those mistakes were magnified, because he is who he is, and where he's at."

And what was life like in the Woods home growing up? "It was very disciplined," says his brother. "Tiger had his duties he had to perform. My dad would have him do practice rounds in the afternoon. They would be out there for two and three hours. Most of that was fun time, because he was so young, but my dad would slip in some instruction."

And what was Tiger like as a kid? "He wasn't obnoxious," says Earl Jr. "He was kind of a nerd, a bookworm, a computer geek."

With the past behind him, Earl Jr. is hopeful for his brother's future. "Once the dust settles, he'll start being productive," he says. "Once he gets back on track, he'll be right back to where he was, if not better."
